Electric cookers are more common because they are easy to install, operate and maintain (requiring only an annual check of the thermal fluid). No exhaust flue to exhaust combustion gases/smoke or special planning is required.

Gas cookers

Although gas cookers have higher procurement, installation and maintenance costs than electric cookers, their operating cost per kcal is lower. Gas cookers must be installed only by insured, licensed professionals.
