Handtmann Communication Unit (HCU): Planning, monitoring and control of the entire filling department. Handtmann's software for networking filling systems with the production operation data network for optimizing complex production processes.

 

Batch tracking and accurate documentation of production by filling line as well as tracking of downtimes ensures complete traceability, thereby pointing out potential for savings. Transparency and direct comparison of filling lines make it possible to selectively improve production capacity utilization. Another advantage is direct evaluation of data as part of collection of operating data.

 

 

An integrated online weighing system is an additional option. A checkweigher connected to the network performs a progressive comparison of target and actual weights. A trend calculation corrects the Handtmann filling lines, which are also connected to the network. In this manner the system achieves a minimum standard deviation around the set target value on the order of tenths of a gram. Then the system automatically readjusts the portion weight.

Simple data transfer

Various pivot tables and graphs are automatically created when the data is exported to Excel:

  • Quantities per day or month
  • Signals from the metal detector per machine, article or day
  • Hourly output per line, article or day
  • Renaming and standardising
  • Transferring from one line to another
  • Saving and printing

The data is saved in a database. Using the HCU Viewer you can select the information and export it directly to Excel. The database is open and can also be read out directly by higher-level systems (e.g. PPS system, materials management system).

 

You monitor the current production directly from the control centre. Immediate intervention is possible in the event of deviations from the plan.
